
Halloween might just be my favorite "season" in the voice studio. With costumes, decorations, and a naturally dramatic flair in the air, it’s the perfect time to spark creativity and enthusiasm in young singers. Halloween opens up exciting opportunities for vocal exploration, active listening, and even performance practice — all wrapped in a playful, low-pressure environment.

What could be more fun than singing like a ghooooost? Or mumbling like a mummy? All the seasonal characters and nighttime animals (like owls and wolves) are perfect vocal exploration sounds. Just add them to your favourite singing warm-up!
How about pausing the usual major sounds and making everything minor? This spooky shake-up will challenge your young students to listen very carefully.
